It’s almost inexcusable how I have neglected my shoe-collection (and therefor outfit and styling of any kind) the past weeks, but have been very busy organizing a surprise for BFF who is getting hitched this weekend in Austria. We share a passion for drama and theatrical scenes (not that either of us would EVER act like that...) so of course it had to be something special.

Since my last attempt to delight an audience resulted in my being banned from any kind of stage forever, I spent long hours in the studio excelling in preparatory work - and I can totally share now because as you read this my sweet friend will be fiddling with her veil and definitely not checking her Facebook account.

My gorgeous boots fit the theme perfectly: L-Enfant Terrible it is, and I’d say bring on the lights: am totally ready to delight an audience... again. Did I mention something with “drama” in the beginning?

Am blessed, spoiled party gal, who has just had the nicest 48 hours of celebrations.
Well, what else to do with some time on my hand, and a suitcase full of heels eagerly waiting to be walked in übercool city Berlin? Right.

I haven’t seen much of the city yet (except the only cafe providing internet... Can you believe it: no connection what.so.ever in loft we are staying at), only clubs and bars - and not to forget all the lovely people who have flown in from London and Amsterdam for the opening of Hesse Studios. Ditching the party heels for more comfy style (haha), celebrate a reunion with Rockbitch and my sweet friend BLDITW (Best looking drummer in the world) who’s in the band “Die Happy” and I hadn’t seen in years. So lovely, and nobody wants to go home really.

48 hours later it’s Monday, and am exhausted, but happy gal (as usual regretting the last glass of wine), waking up in übercool sunny Berlin. Not that I have seen anything of the city yet...

Massive Madness

Massive Madness

Although Cannes itself is a massive and mad experience with more parties to attend than time and stamina allow, there is one event in particular that stands out and tops them all: the Massive Music party.

Showing off that you scored a ticket is more prestigious than running around with a festival pass for the whole week. But if you got lucky…… man! What&a&party!

This year they created The World’s Biggest Agency (operating just for one night), celebrating with the top of the advertising business such as “Chief Executive Bitch”, “Most Valuable Content Gimp”, “Chief Nonsense Ambassador” or “Fucking Amazing Codswallop Powder Monkey”.

Oh, and there was the world’s biggest sound system, smashing-down-the-walls-and-bursting-your-ear-drums making anyone jealous watching the spectacle from afar. And the world’s biggest copying machine (aka DJ booth) making Bill Clinton wish (rumor has it he was there) he had brought Monica.

And so much fun.
And so much wine.
And so much dancing.
So much Massive Madness that I&can’t&concentrate&nor&write&anymore&due&to&overwhelming&experience.

Thank you Massive Music for making my week on Wednesday already!

Keeping up with the Kardashians

Each time I come along on one of these Ameland-weekends, I find myself more than a little envious of the “massive talent” gathered here.

Everyone can play an instrument, DJ or sing… I even find myself envying the parents for their obvious parenting talent (judging by their lovely kids).
And I’m pretty sure hitting the tambourine (more or less in time) doesn’t really add to the party…
*sigh*

But then I thought of the Kardashians. They seem to live a happy life despite their lack of any talent. So I am curious: can I at least keep up the Kardashian style for the remainder of my time here in the middle of nowhere?

Well, I’ve already made a start in being famous for nothing on the island (you should have seen people’s faces as we were shooting on a horse in glitter, lace and 12 inch heels). But just to be sure, I talk boyfriend in to doing some “X-rated” things, film it and accidentally hand the tape to the company’s PR.

The rest of the day I eat (well, someone needs to work on a butt here!),  study the internet (check if anyone has written about my X-tape yet) and do my nails while reading an article about new shoe designer Elisabetta Franchi who just released her brand new shoe collection.
Luckily, I already have a pair (of course my favorite shoe store was the first to have them in stock): the perfect choice to end a fantastic weekend, waving Ameland goodbye.
Satisfied, I jump on my private plane, pretty sure I kept up with the Kardashians very well.
