Win Win

Win Win

I don’t know about you ladies, but (even though have never won) I'm a sucker for seeking my fortune. It's not just Charlie Sheen who thinks “winning” is totally “now”, so a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. That twist-off cap promising you a fabulous trip to the Caribbean? Totally went to their website. That poll on any high-fashion-brand luring you to enter for a chance to win a seasonal outfit tip to toe? Check! Oh, and not to mention the numerous scratch-and-win tickets I love to collect, waiting for the right moment to scratch them open (BF thinks I’m crazy, but that’s another story and might very well been told another time...)

Never giving up though, it's all for a good cause. Just imagine how many good things you could do after hitting some jackpot! A whole new alphabet of opportunities would open its doors (from A (aka Altuzarra) over L (Loubies come to Mamma!) to Z (aka Zanotti - a staple in any heels wardrobe anyway).

But whatever method you might fancy to win that golden pot: try your luck adding a decent heel to your outfit you're at it. You'll remember that lucky pair forever. I'd say very win win indeed.

Am freaked out today. Not because Marc Jacobs called to ask if I would consider being his muse, or because I got my first “sponsored heel job” (Yes! Really!). No, nothing like that. More like travel fever (symptoms include watching “24-hour kitchen” almost the whole night due to insomnia - counting heels doesn’t help).

Am very excited to go see my family tomorrow for the weekend (tons of birthday bashes to celebrate and four little nephews to cuddle), but there is so much to do before I leave (BESIDES the fun part of packing and selecting shoes and what to wear) that I literally can’t decide where to start.

Finish jobs first? Or shoot? Buy tons of presents (my family’s wish list is almost as long as the waiting list for Louboutins) or finish writing? Is cleaning up really necessary (ergh... am afraid yes). Cook “last supper” for boyfriend? Or rather jump into Agent Provocateur / sky highs to make up for no dinner and mess?
Aid (not only in the kitchen) is very much needed, so where the heel are my personal chef, assistant and maid? Sigh. Very obviously all on vacation as well.

Gap day

I don’t know about you girls, but every once in a while I have one of those weird days when I just don’t really know what to do with myself.

You know: you’ve seen every new movie, nothing’s happening on Facebook, no one calls or writes, you don’t really feel like going out…. and you are just not inspired AT ALL. I call these days “gap days” and have made a special list to turn to.
A list that should save me from dropping dead of complete boredom.

“Get in shape”, I have boldly printed at the top.
Right. I just read an article on how to get a flat tummy in two weeks.
SURPRISE, the two main ingredients are “not eating” and “exercising“ (a “gap day” without food is a definite no-go).
“Clean the house” is second on the list, followed by “you haven’t done so in weeks, I know you”. Yes, yes ok, so the boxes from my winter wardrobe are still blocking the whole bedroom…. but sort that mess today? Really?
“Get a new hair cut” (uh, I must have been serious)
“Give boyfriend a new haircut” (uh, I must have been really bored while writing this list!)
“Get a dog” (uh, I must have been drunk).

Not feeling even the slightest hint of inspiration or anything slightly resembling motivation, I am just beginning to seriously consider signing up for the pottery class I read about recently, when boyfriend (isn’t he the best!) sends me the link for Louboutin’s first European web store.
As in: Louboutin available in Europe NOW! ONLINE! 24 hours!

I will get a pedi to show off in my new (to be) pair of Loubies immediately.
And give boyfriend a “thank you” haircut: the least I can do.
