Breakfast at D.Dentici

Breakfast at D.Dentici

Some people could have a horse for breakfast, some just a smoothie and a vitamine pill, others have no breakfast at all, and me.... well take an educated guess.
On my way to work I bump into the longest queue I've ever seen, and no, it's not a shoe-sale. People are standing in line for the opening of Abercrombie & Fitch. Fair enough: they did advertise the event for a week with half naked six packs (not talking beer) in front of their door. But now I can hardly find MY door to work, so have to make a small U-turn to marvel at something which I (personally) find so much more interesting than some overtrained tummies.

While everybody is waiting in the cold (UGG and Converse spotted everywhere - I would so fit in - NOT) to get their hands on some average US sweaters, am having a party (aka breakfast) at Daniele Dentici with the most original (lovely!) heels inside. Guess it's obvious by now: am having cognac for breakfast. Only question remaining: the cognac boots, the cognac booties or the cognac bag??? Decisions Decisions.

Today's shoes are Ritaeliseo.

Available at Daniele Dentici: not only for breakfast.

Now don't think I'm in the habit of stalking 22 year old actresses, or even the slightest bit interested in Hollywood gossip (oops, can hear my Mom talking: "I thought I taught you not to lie..." damn...), but came across an actually very funny and spontaneous interview Charlize Theron and KStew did for a French TV show. They were asked kinda random questions via a robot-like monitor. One of them: "Best advice to get a job in Hollywood?" was answered by Ms. Stewart with: "We are sitting on it".

Now I believe the lady is no stranger to getting herself in trouble with these types of answers (or to just getting herself in trouble - perhaps you followed the whole cheating scandal which had millions of minors weeping themselves to sleep half the summer), but it actually made me think. I mean, everybody knows that working feminine qualities to your advantage is quite common - and why not? Supply and demand will always determine the market (and it's very probably the demand that deserves to be looked at more closely). But Kristen is wrong. The answer should be: "We are walking on it". Still believe that a healthy pair of legs (in heels of course), and a brain can get you anywhere.

Could be that I'm just trying to encourage myself (have a super important interview today) but just one thing: Kristen is a Converse fan. Hmm. You do the math.

It’s BF's birthday, and being the loving caring girlfriend that I am, planned a day for his full pleasure only.Have been meticulously planning the following schedule for weeks so can't wait to:

Get up really early (thought 6-ish would be cool, aka enjoying the precious morning), do some
Qi Gong in the park (weather conditions are so "cool" as well...) followed by light snack (men love "low carb" bars don't they?).

Introduce BF to real shopping experience. Paul Smith, Ralph Lauren, Giuseppe Zanotti (oops, that one would be for me...), getting rid of the old Converse shoes and introducing Oxfords, Loafers and Jodphur boots to BF’s feet. Classics.

Light lunch (aka salad without dressing, who needs a steak on their birthday?) and then my fave: the Spa experience. Haircut, pedicure, manicure, facial, and maybe - if time allows: a massage, because am eager to practice yoga afterwards: am sure BF will l.o.v.e. Bikram!

Ha! Just as I'm thinking how happy BF will be to watch "Studio Sport" after this beautiful day, realise: why don’t I just shut up, pop the champagne and put the feather mules on.

Nothing better than staying in bed 24 hours on an average school day.
Cheerio!
